ING Membership Guidelines

01 Membership & Professional Conduct What is expected of every ING member +
ING is built around trusted relationships between local professionals. Members are expected to conduct themselves professionally, treat fellow members and visitors with respect, and represent their business honestly and ethically.
Membership is subject to chapter approval and should support the health, reputation and collaborative culture of the chapter.
02 Industry Exclusivity Protecting each member's business category +
ING is an industry-exclusive networking organization. Chapters are structured to give members the opportunity to build strong referral relationships without unnecessary competition within the same business category.
Questions about overlapping services or business categories should be reviewed with the chapter coordinator.
03 Participation & Attendance Consistency builds better relationships +
ING chapters meet regularly because strong referral relationships are built through consistent participation. Members are encouraged to attend, participate, build relationships and communicate with chapter leadership when an absence is necessary.
Chapter coordinators may maintain attendance records and follow up when attendance becomes a concern.
04 Referrals & Relationships Trust comes before transactions +
ING encourages members to learn about one another's businesses so referrals are informed, appropriate and valuable.
Members should never feel pressured to refer business. The goal is to create trusted relationships that naturally lead to introductions and opportunities when the right need arises.
05 Membership Dues Supporting the organization and its members +
ING membership currently includes annual membership dues of $100. Dues help support the organization, member resources and continued development of ING.
Current dues and payment information may be updated by ING as the organization grows.
06 Foundations Training & Speaking Eligibility Preparing members to represent ING well +
Members complete the ING Foundations training and quiz to demonstrate an understanding of the organization and its expectations.
Members who successfully complete the required Foundations training and quiz become eligible to serve as a spotlight speaker, subject to chapter scheduling and approval.

Chapter coordinators help facilitate meetings, support members, review chapter requests and maintain consistency with ING guidelines.
Members should contact their chapter coordinator when they have questions about membership, attendance, chapter participation or chapter-specific issues.
